Centennial Discovery® Web Edition includes the Web Control Center
which is a powerful tool that helps you manage your information systems by providing
you with an organizational overview of your company's PC assets and the people who
use them.
Using the Centennial Discovery® Web Edition repository (a central database), Web Control Center can
generate reports and queries about computer systems, hardware, software,
and users on a number of different levels depending on your corporate
structure and how the Centennial Discovery® Web Edition administrator set up the data. For
example, if your company headquarters was set up as an Organizational
Unit, you can use Web Control Center to find out how many Windows NT users are
located at your company headquarters. You could break this information
down even further to find out which departments at your company
headquarters are using Windows NT. From here, you may want to find out how
many Windows NT users are in the Engineering department, for example.
Collecting Data
The data used by Web Control Center to generate the reports you require is
stored in the Centennial Discovery® Web Edition repository and is collected when you use Centennial Discovery® Web Edition
in the normal way. No extra steps are required in order to use this data
for generating reports.
